Vegas Radio - About the band
Vegas Radio is a rock band from New England, formed in November 2008 by guitarist Craig Wing and vocalist Pat Welch. Welch met guitarist Craig Wing through a friend of a friend of an acquaintance of a friend. "He was looking for a singer and I was looking for a Guitarist," says Welch. The two musicians got together and it became obvious to them that they shared the same love for music, and they practically lived in a rehearsal space they rented for the next 6 months. The rest, as they say, is history. Vegas Radio consists of guitarist Craig Wing, vocalist Pat Welch, drummer and back up vocalist J.J. Johnson and bassist, guitar and back up vocalist Damien Joyce.

The band's sound is diverse, incorporating modern heavy riffs, virtuoso guitar playing, acoustic elements, blues, screaming vocals, and a lot of passion.

A single entitled "Insomnia," marks the band's first release in May 2010. The song's inspiration comes both from the movie "Fight Club," and as Welch says: "a sleepless journey every hard-working man, woman or child must endure to reach their goals." A video for the single is set to begin production in June 2010, with on-location shoots in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maine.

Vegas Radio is going sleepless and picking up speed as the full-length album (produced by Brian Garcia) nears completion, with a target release date of fall 2011. The band will support the release with shows throughout the New England Area.
